Vice-President of the University of Birmingham, Professor William Bloss Gave a Speech at our college's Academic Lecture Series

To foster an active academic atmosphere and broaden international perspectives, on the morning of March 25, 2026, the Academic Lecture Series of the College of New Energy and Environment welcomed a globally renowned scholar in the field of atmospheric chemistry and clean air science — Professor William Bloss, Vice-President of the University of Birmingham and Head of the College of Life and Environmental Sciences. Professor Bloss delivered a wonderful academic lecture titled "Future Forests & Clean Air" to the faculty and students of our college.

During the lecture, Professor Bloss systematically and thoroughly introduced the core strategy of the University of Birmingham in addressing global climate change and environmental pollution challenges — the "Future Forests" and Clean Air research initiatives. He elaborated on the grand vision of this interdisciplinary research strategy, focusing on the key scientific questions concerning the interactions between forest ecosystems and the atmospheric environment, and shared the latest groundbreaking research achievements made by his team in related fields.
