    The College of New Energy and Environment (CNEE) carries out academic cooperation and exchanges with an international perspective and major national strategic needs. CNEE has established a long-term and stable cooperation relationship with more than 20 institutions in 11 countries, including the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Russia, Singapore etc, and has continued to promote various forms of cooperative research and communication projects. Relying on the college, Jilin Province International Collaboration Base for Underground New Energy Exploration and Geoenvironment Remediation was established. CNEE also applied to establish talent-introduction base of “Engineering Bionic Technology and High-end Equipment” (“111 talent-introduction base”) together with other colleges from JLU. In the past five years, more than 100 internationally experts in the field of new energy and environment have been invited by CNEE to give lectures and presentations to the teachers and students. CNEE also actively carries out the enrollment and training programs of overseas students to expand its international influence. Moreover, more than 350 students have been supported by the undergraduate and postgraduate programs of JLU to participate in the academic exchange activities abroad, students have opportunities to visit and study in world-famous universities, such as Oxford University, University of British Columbia, National University of Singapore and University of Tokyo, etc. More than 20 postgraduate students have been supported by the national high-level university public graduate project to participate in joint training program or study for PhD degree abroad.


    At present, CNEE has cooperated with the University of Kentucky in “3+2 joint training” program, and also plans to build a collaboration relationship with the National University of Singapore and the University of Queensland. Meanwhile, CNEE has cooperated with Nanyang Technological University University of TokyoFeng Chia University to establish the “Overseas Undergraduate Student Cognition Practice Base”, which providing students with diversified international exchange opportunities.


    CNEE has held five influential international conferences, including International Academic Conference on Carbon Dioxide Geological StorageInternational Academic Conference on Hot Dry Rock Resource Exploring and Enhanced Geothermal Engineeringand 3rd China-Japan-South Korea Water Science Forum, which provided a frontier scientific thinking exchange platform for young adults interested in new energy and environment and opened their academic horizons.
