Achievements Outline

30 significant projects have been undertaken since 2010, such as the National Key Scientific and Technological Project subject, Major scientific and technological breakthrough project of Jilin Province, Major geological investigation fund project of Jilin province, Key water resources subject of Jilin province, hydrogeological investigation for municipal water supply, groundwater environmental impact of water resources project and aero-plane site, etc.. A series of research achievements have been made in regional groundwater resources investigation and evaluation, natural mineral water occurrence mechanism, regional and site groundwater numerical simulation, geothermal resource investigation and evaluation, etc.. 259 papers have been published, of which 80 papers are indexed by SCI, EI and CPCI-S(ISTP). Nine academic books have been published of which four books are chief-editor. The achievements have been awarded as the 2nd and 3rd prize for Progress in Science and Technology of Province or Ministry, 1st and 3rd Teaching Achievement Prize of Jilin province. Currently Prof. Xiao is the head of water science and technology institute of Jilin University, expert of water resources guarantee of Water resources Ministry and Environmental Engineering Assessment Center of Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the people's Republic of China.
