Research Interests

My research asks questions about carbon cycle process in saline and alkaline regions. Carbon flux between soil and ground water or surface water. I was using stable isotope techniques to explore the mechanisms on carbon storage in saline and alkaline soil and analyzing SOC stable mechanisms concerning saline accumulation.

RESEARCH EXPERIENCE

2013-present I exploring the carbon turnover in saline and alkaline soil using stable isotope technique

2010-2013 I explored the carbon sequestration potential of grassland in China spatially and temporally, using the methods of data synthesis and field sampling in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau.

2006-2010 explored the carbon balance and water use efficiency of temperate grassland with four sets of eddy covariance systems

2007-2008 discriminated autotrophic respiration and heterotrophic respiration through the static chamber method

2006-2007 discriminated autotrophic respiration and heterotrophic respiration through profile gas sampling for 13C and 18O stable isotopic measurements.

2005-2006 explore the effects of land use change on community diversity and soil seed bank in Inner Mongolia grassland.

2001-2002 exploring the hydro-physiological character of forbs, shrubs and tree in Huangfuchuan watershed in Loess Plateau.
